The EV charging pile is an important logistical part to maintain the energy supply of electric vehicles. In order to achieve the goal of emission peak and carbon neutrality as soon as possible, and promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of China’s EV industry, the energy supply facilities for new energy electric vehicles - charging piles, have become the focus of domestic and foreign commercial capital. Setting up reasonable charging piles in shopping malls, residential parking lots, public buildings and other places will be conducive to the promotion and growth of new energy vehicles, stimulate the development of the new energy vehicle industry in the sinking market, and help promote the use of clean energy and energy consumption. energy saving.

After the epidemic, in order to further promote the healthy development of the new energy industry and accelerate the layout of the country's new energy-related industries, new energy vehicle support policies have been introduced across the country. With the support of new energy vehicle support policies, the development of new energy charging piles is on the agenda. .

Development Background of New Energy Charging Pile Industry

Facing the current mature and perfect new energy automobile industry, new energy charging piles are at the weak end of supporting facilities. Accelerating the development of the charging pile industry plays a vital role in promoting the development of the entire new energy electric vehicle industry.

1. Policy support: The country has successively issued relevant policies to support the innovation of charging pile-related technologies, models and mechanisms.

Looking back in recent years, the state has issued a series of policy support to encourage the innovation and development of charging pile technology and supporting facilities. In May 2020, the State Council issued the "Government Work Report 2020", which first proposed the concept of "new infrastructure" (new infrastructure construction), and encouraged the construction of seven "new infrastructure" areas including charging piles, power stations and other facilities.

The 2021 Central Economic Work Conference pointed out that the current economy is facing the triple pressure of demand contraction, supply shock, and expected weakening. The tempo may accelerate.

In January 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "Implementation Opinions of the National Development and Reform Commission and Other Departments on Further Improving the Service Guarantee Capabilities of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure" (Fagai Energy Regulation [2022] No. 53), proposing By the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan", my country's electric vehicle charging support capabilities will be further improved, and a moderately advanced, well-balanced, intelligent and efficient charging infrastructure system will be formed, which can meet the charging needs of more than 20 million electric vehicles. The implementation of a number of policies has made the development direction and development goals of my country's new energy charging pile industry gradually clear, providing a beneficial soil for the development of the industry.

2. Market demand: The number of new energy vehicles exceeded 10 million, and the market demand for charging piles surged

According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, as of the end of June, the number of new energy vehicles in the country reached 10.01 million, accounting for 3.23% of the total number of vehicles. Among them, the number of pure electric vehicles is 8.104 million, accounting for 80.93% of the total number of new energy vehicles.

In the first half of the year, 2.209 million new energy vehicles were newly registered, an increase of 1.106 million compared with the new registrations in the first half of last year, an increase of 100.26%, a record high. The new registrations of new energy vehicles accounted for 19.90% of the new registrations of vehicles.

At present, the growth rate of domestic charging piles is significantly lower than that of new energy vehicles. In the next 3-5 years, the charging pile market will continue to maintain a strong growth trend due to the growing demand for new energy vehicles.

In addition, the popularization and development of charging piles will also play a positive role in improving and promoting the environmental protection of the domestic natural environment, contributing to the realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
