The charging module is the most important configuration module of the power supply. Its protection functions are reflected in the aspects of input over/under voltage protection, output over voltage protection/under voltage alarm, short circuit retraction, etc. Function".

1. What is a charging module?

1) The charging module adopts a heat dissipation method that combines self-cooling and air-cooling, and runs self-cooling at light load, which is in line with the actual operation of the power system.

2) It is the most important configuration module of the power supply, and is widely used in the power supply of substations from 35kV to 330kV.

2. Protection function of wireless charging module

1) Input over/under voltage protection

The module has input over/under voltage protection function. When the input voltage is less than 313±10Vac or greater than 485±10Vac, the module is protected, there is no DC output, and the protection indicator (yellow) is on. After the voltage recovers to between 335±10Vac460±15Vac, the module automatically resumes work.

2) Output overvoltage protection/undervoltage alarm

The module has the function of output overvoltage protection and undervoltage alarm. When the output voltage is greater than 293±6Vdc, the module is protected, there is no DC output, and the protection indicator (yellow) is on. The module cannot recover automatically, and the module must be powered off and then powered on again. When the output voltage is less than 198±1Vdc, the module alarms, there is DC output, and the protection indicator (yellow) is on. After the voltage is restored, the module output undervoltage alarm disappears.

3. Short-circuit retraction

The module has a short-circuit retraction function. When the module output is short-circuited, the output current is not greater than 40% of the rated current. After the short circuit factor is eliminated, the module automatically restores normal output.

4. Phase loss protection

The module has phase loss protection function. When the input phase is missing, the power of the module is limited, and the output can be half-loaded. When the output voltage is 260V, it outputs 5A current.

5. Over temperature protection

When the air inlet of the module is blocked or the ambient temperature is too high and the temperature inside the module exceeds the set value, the module will be protected from over-temperature, the protection indicator (yellow) on the module panel will be on, and the module will have no voltage output. When the abnormal condition is cleared and the temperature inside the module returns to normal, the module will automatically return to normal operation.

6. Primary side overcurrent protection

In abnormal state, overcurrent occurs on the rectifier side of the module, and the module is protected. The module cannot recover automatically, and the module must be powered off and then powered on again.
